Undergraduate School Completed Projects @ Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Completed Courses @ Worcester Polytechnic Institute Computer Science courses
I started my undergraduate career in the Fall of 1993 at WPI. Let's not say much about that year, other than it was not fun. I decided to not go to school the next academic year, my decision made easy by lack of funds with which to convince WPI I should be a student there. I spent May 1994 through August 1995 hanging drywall, plastering, cement work and being a general laborer for A&B Plastering. I also moonlighted as a night attendant at Silver Fox Tours. Yup, I've driven many of the Silver Fox busses that we've rode to EMC Quarterly meetings and summer outings. Scary, huh? Since I was getting far too much sleep, I went back to school Spring of 1995 at Worcester State College (cheap tuition). By the Fall of 1995, I saved enough money for one semester of WPI. Being the crazy fool I am, I went for it. Oh, a side note... WPI undergraduate school runs on 4 terms per year (2 terms per semester). Now, the game here was, if I do really well, I could get enough financial aid to cover me the rest of the school year. I had given up my jobs for school's sake and had no other form of income, except during breaks. I took the standard load of 3 courses the first term and pulled B's. I thought that I had gotten the hang of it, so I overloaded the next term with one of the mandatory projects WPI is so well known for, my IQP. Now, keep in mind (not that you had any way of knowing before hand) that I was classified as a freshman. It is usually recommended to start one's IQP in the junior year. Well, needless to say I aced it all, got my financial aid and lived happily ever after... well, not quite. Well, that's enough of Keith tooting his own horn, heh? OK, to sum it up, I graduated in May of 1998 with high distinction. High Distinction is the top most honor one can graduate from WPI with. There he goes again... OK, that's it for undergrad school... we'll let Keith write more when he learns to tone it down. by: Keith A. Pray Last Modified: August 20, 2004 11:24 AM |
