Focus

  • Use Design Plan
    1. Replay Design Plan by using the recorded implementation rules with changed specifications
    2. Compare circuit each module's purpose produced with that of the corresponding module's from original design plan
      1. Use original rule if purpose has not changed
      2. If purpose has changed, try same implementation rule used in original plan anyway
        1. If the original rule does NOT prove useful, mark this section of the design plan to be focused on for further redesign

  • Use Dependency Network (from CRITTER)
    1. Isolate points in circuit that possess specifications derived from change specifications on output stream

      These are usually broader in focus
